IRCTC Server Down: On the festival of colors Holi (Holi 2023) in the country, everyone was already struggling to get railway tickets to go home, today more bad news came to the fore. The general public had to face a lot of difficulties. Users were very upset to book tickets from IRCTC, the online ticket booking service of Indian Railways. The server of IRCTC’s ticket booking service suddenly went down today (March 4) at peak time in the morning, after which users could not book their tickets. Some people’s money was deducted, but they could not get a copy of the confirmed ticket.

IRCTC users have been facing a lot of problem in booking Tatkal tickets on Saturday morning. When the IRCTC server was down, people took to the social media platform Twitter to vent their complaints and anger. A user wrote on Twitter that tickets are not being booked due to the downfall of the IRCTC app and website. Money was also deducted from the account 4 times but the ticket was not booked even once. At the same time, another user wrote that IRCTC website is down since 10 am, I am not able to book Tatkal ticket.

IRCTC started trending on Twitter when the server was down. A message started appearing on the IRCTC website at the time of ticket booking. It was written in this message that e-ticketing is not available due to maintenance activity, please try later. For Cancellation/File TDR, please call customer care numbers 14646,0755-6610661 & 0755-40906000 or mail us at etickets@irctc.co.in. However, so far no official statement has come from the Railways on this matter.
Public upset for special trains
Railways had opened the quota immediately to facilitate its passengers on the festival of Holi, but today the tickets have not been booked due to server down. To meet the demand for travel during Holi festival, Railways is running Holi special trains across the country. Along with this, additional coaches are also being installed in these trains.
