Legendary sprinter PT Usha on Saturday announced that she will contest for the post of President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). He gave this information on Twitter. This election will be held on December 10 next month. Usha has won several gold medals at the Asian Games and was fourth in the final of the 400 m hurdles at the 1984 Olympics.
“With the support of my fellow athletes and the National Federation, I will contest for the post of IOA President,” Usha tweeted. Usha will file nomination for the post of president. Sunday is the last date for filing nominations for the IOA elections. Umesh Sinha, Returning Officer of the IOA elections, said that there were no nominations on Friday and Saturday.
