Priyanshu Rajawat, a member of the Thomas Cup-winning Indian team, has made it to the main draw of the Indonesia Masters Super 500. Other shuttlers including B Sai Praneeth were ousted in the qualifying round itself. Priyanshu, who made it to the finals of the Odisha Open Super 100, defeated Viktor Svendsen of Denmark 21-10, 13-21, 21-13 in the first match. He then defeated France’s Christo Popov 21-17, 21-19.
Priyanshu will take on Chiko Oura Dwi Wardoyo of Indonesia in the first round of the tournament. Kiran George, Mithun Manjunath, Kartikeya Gulshan Kumar were the other Indians to be eliminated in the qualifying round. In mixed doubles, Sikki Reddy and Rohan Kapoor defeated Chinese Taipei’s Po Li and Chang Ching 21-15, 21-18 to enter the main draw.
