India Wheat Help To Afghanistan: India has announced assistance of 20 thousand metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan in partnership with UNVFP. In the meeting, India has announced that it will work in partnership with the UN World Food Program (WFP) to supply 20,000 tonnes of wheat as aid to Afghanistan through Iran’s Chabahar Port. Earlier, India has supplied about 40,000 tonnes of wheat by road through Pakistan, but it faced many hurdles.

The meeting was attended by special envoys and senior officials from India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Representatives of countries from WFP and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) also participated in it.
