Hosts Australia defeated the Indian hockey team 7-4 in the second Test on Sunday thanks to a hat-trick from Blake Gowers. This is India’s second consecutive defeat in the five-match series.

Captain Harmanpreet Singh gave India a 1-0 lead by converting a penalty corner in the third minute of the match. By the third quarter, the Indian team was trailing 3-4. Poor play in the final quarter resulted in a 4–7 defeat for the team.
