IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal was born on 25 June 1985 in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. His father Subhash Nagpal was an Indian Statistical Service officer. His grandfather’s name is Ghanshyam Nagpal, a police officer who was assassinated in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar in 1954 while serving the country.

Durga Shakti Nagpal did her bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University in the year 2007. After that Durga Nagpal started preparing for UPSC exam. Also, 24 dumper trucks and 300 trolleys were seized.
