Ingredients for making Shahi Phirni

  • Rice – 1/2 cup
  • Milk – 2 liters
  • Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon – 1 piece
  • Mawa – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Saffron – 1 tsp
  • Almonds – 1/4 cup
  • Cashew – 1/4 cup
  • Pistachios – 3 tbsp
  • Chironji – 2 tbsp
  • Raisins – 2 tbsp

How to make Shahi Phirni

To make Shahi Phirni, first wash the rice thoroughly and soak them in water for some time. After this, take out the rice from the water and keep it in a sieve, so that all the water drains out. After this, grind the rice coarsely in a mixer. Then cut dry fruits into small pieces.

Now put the milk in a vessel to boil. After the milk boils, put a piece of cinnamon in it. Then put the ground rice in the milk. Now keep cooking it on low flame. Then to make it a little thick and to make it tasty, add grated mawa to the milk, then keep stirring it with a ladle.

3rd step

When the phirni is ready, add sugar as per taste and cook it for some time. After this, add cardamom powder, finely chopped dry fruits to it. Then turn off the gas by stirring it well and take your Shahi Phirni is ready. Now eat it hot or cold and feed it to the whole family including children.
