How to de-link PayTm to Aadhaar Card
1) For de-linking aadhaar first you have to call paytm customer care officer (customer care) on 0120-4456456.
2) Once the call is connected, follow the instructions given. After this, ask the customer service officer to de-link your Aadhaar card with the Paytm account. The Customer Service Officer will ask you a few questions to identify your identity. Please mention your email id before disconnecting the call.
3) You will receive an email after all questions have been answered. You will once again be asked to send the picture of the Aadhar card via email.
4) Aadhaar Card will be de-linked from Paytm within 72 hours of sending the photo.
We have told you how to de-link Aadhar card with Paytm. But at present you will have to face some problems as well. As soon as your account is de-linked with Aadhar card, the account will no longer be verified. In such a situation, you will not be able to transfer money from Paytm to any other person. This means that you will have to verify your Paytm Wallet once again for which PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Passport Number, Driving License and NREGA Job Card can be used. But this feature is not working properly yet.
A Paytm Customer Service Officer (Customer Care) while explaining the process to us told us that other documents for KYC are not being accepted as of now. Work is going on on this right now. In such a situation, we would suggest you to de-link Paytm account with Aadhaar number carefully. Apart from this, it seems ridiculous to ask for the same picture of Aadhar card again by Paytm to do this, because we want to get rid of this problem.
