Globally 36 Percent Fears Artificial Intelligence Can Take Their Jobs…

Artificial Intelligence Job Loss: Two days ago, Geeta Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, had expressed concern about the impact on jobs due to artificial intelligence. Now 36 percent of the people involved in a survey believe that due to artificial intelligence, their jobs can be lost.

The Boston Consulting Group has conducted this survey in 18 countries, in which 12,800 employees from executives to the front line have been interviewed. People involved in the survey believe that due to the new wave of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT and Dell-e, big changes are being seen in the business. According to the survey, 60 percent of Indians are very positive about its impact on the workplace. However, there is a difference of opinion regarding its effect in different countries.

At the global level, 36 percent of the people involved in the survey believe that due to artificial intelligence, their jobs can be lost. In March 2023, Goldman Sachs said in its report that 300 million full-time jobs could be at risk due to artificial intelligence. Last year, PWC (PWC) said in its Annual Global Workforce Survey that one-third of people are afraid that new technology may replace them in the next three years.

According to a survey by the Boston Consulting Group, 71 percent of people in Brazil are positive about artificial intelligence. In India this number is 60 percent. In the Middle East, 58 percent are positive about it. But 46 per cent in the US, 44 per cent in the Netherlands and only 40 per cent in Japan are far less optimistic about artificial intelligence. In the Netherlands, 42 percent, 41 percent in France and 38 percent in Japan are very concerned about the impact of artificial intelligence. The number of such people in India is only 14 percent.

In India, 61 percent people are optimistic about Artificial Intelligence, while 72.8 percent believe that it will be beneficial. 88 percent of the people believe that due to AI, there will be a big change in their jobs. 80 percent of the people involved in the survey are also in favor of regulating it. 52 percent of the people involved in the survey are very optimistic about its impact in their work, while in 2018 the number of such people was only 35 percent. According to Boston Consulting Group MD Nipun Kalra, Indian executives are most positive about the impact of artificial intelligence in a survey conducted in 18 countries.
