The new Hyundai Tucson was launched in the US at a price of $26,135 (approximately Rs 19.45 lakh). The company can import it into India through Completely Knocked Down Unit (CKD). There is little hope of starting its production in India. After importing into India, it will be assembled at the company’s local plant.
Let us tell you that this month Hyundai has discontinued its popular Santro hatchback and Xcent Prime in India. According to media reports, the company has stopped production of both these models earlier this month. The reason for discontinuing the models is being told due to low sales and upcoming launch of new models.
