1. Hero Passion Xtec Launched

The biggest news in the Indian two-wheeler market last week was the launch of Hero Passion Xtec. The new Passion Xtec has been launched at Rs 74,590 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The biggest update on the Hero Passion Xtec is the Bluetooth feature, which now allows the bike to be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. After connecting to Bluetooth, SMS alerts, call alerts and caller name information will be available on the instrument cluster of the bike.

As a first in segment feature, now the bike has been given a full digital instrument cluster which comes with blue back light. Along with the speed indicator and fuel indicator, real time mileage indicator, side stand indicator and service reminder indicator are also given on its display. It also has a USB port for charging mobile phones or electronic devices.

2. TVS Radeon Hui Update

TVS Radeon has been updated with LCD instrument cluster and real time mileage indicator. With new features, this bike has been brought at an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 59,925. This bike comes with the company’s IntelliGo system which gives the bike a better riding experience with more mileage. With the help of real-time mileage indicator, bikers will now be able to control the mileage.

Apart from real time mileage on the digital instrument cluster, 17 in-built useful features including clock, service indicator, low battery indicator, top speed and average speed have been provided.

3. Autumn Weather Electric Bike Launched

Hyderabad based electric vehicle startup Atumobile launched its electric bike Atum Vader (Autumn Vader) in India. This electric bike has been launched at a price of Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the company, the bike can be booked from the official website for Rs 1,000.

A 2.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack has been used in this bike. It can be driven up to 100 km on full charge. At the same time, it takes 2-3 hours to fully charge its battery. The company claims that the AtumVader is the country’s first high-speed electric cafe racer bike, which is being designed and manufactured in India. The bike is built on a sturdy tubular frame and gets all the lighting in LEDs.

4. Honda’s Electric Scooter Spotted

Honda’s electric scooter Honda Benly e (Honda Benly-e) has been spotted testing in Bangalore. It is being claimed in the reports that the company will launch it only in 2022. It is a cargo e-scooter which can be used for delivery and courier. As per the spy images, the scooter is white in color and has been fitted with large luggage carriers at the front and rear.

This electric scooter is available with various battery packs and options in the international markets. The base model gets a 2.8 kW electric motor while the more powerful models get a 4.2 kW electric motor. All variants have two swappable 48V batteries.

5. Ducati’s new bike launched

Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati has been aggressively launching its new bikes in India. The company launched the new Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard last week. This bike has been introduced at a price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is based on the Scrambler 800 series and shares similar technology and parts.
