Imran Khan News: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s troubles are not taking the name of abatement. Now he has received a notice from the Excise Department for the luxury tax of his residence at Zaman Park. PTI chief has received a luxury tax notice of 14 lakh Pakistani rupees.
According to Geo News, Imran Khan used to live here in another house earlier. Later he demolished the house and built a new one, in which he is living now. According to the report, the house where the PTI leader is currently living is owned by him and his sisters. According to reports, Khan has filed his taxes regularly, but if he fails to do so this time, he will be sent another notice as per the law.
Outstanding amount of Rs 36 lakh
Last month, the department had issued a notice to his mother, the late Shaukat Khanum, to assess her for luxury house tax, directing Khan to pay an outstanding amount of Rs 36 lakh under luxury tax. The report said that the property remained in the name of Khanum, who died in 1985.
Imran Khan is in trouble
Significantly, after the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, there were violent demonstrations across the country. It is alleged that his party workers vandalized a dozen military establishments, including the Lahore Corps Commander House, the Mianwali airbase and the ISI building in Faisalabad.
