Economic And Political Crises In Pakistan May Bring Upheaval

Pakistan News: The news that has come on the internal situation of Pakistan in the last 72 hours is not good for there. It seems that something big is going to happen once again in the country. The situation in Pakistan is getting worse financially. The political crisis has also deepened. The political developments in Pakistan’s main province of Punjab are not good for Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. On July 27, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered Pakistan Muslim League-Qaid (PML-Q) leader Pervez Elahi to make Punjab the new Chief Minister.

A day before this, the Supreme Court removed Hamza Sharif, son of PM Shahbaz, from the post of Chief Minister of Punjab. Angered by these decisions of the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister of Pakistan targeted the highest court of his own country and said that double standards are being adopted towards them.

Punjab’s new Chief Minister Pervez Elahi has the support of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. At the same time, the Home Minister of Pakistan has warned that if his entry into Punjab province is banned, then Governor’s rule can be imposed in Punjab. He has said in a warning tone that a draft is being prepared regarding imposition of Governor’s rule and he has personally started work on it. In fact, the people’s representatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had talked about stopping his entry into Punjab province. Seeing that, he has said this thing.

But it is not easy for the government of Pakistan to take any decision regarding Punjab. President Arif Alvi’s consent will have to be taken to impose governor’s rule there, but he is special to Imran Khan. In such a situation, he will agree to this, it is looking far-fetched.

In the same year, Imran Khan had to leave the Prime Minister’s chair after a dramatic political development in Pakistan. After this, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz Sharif) leader Shahbaz Sharif was made the Prime Minister. But he has completely failed to rescue Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis. The price of Pakistani rupee has reached around 250 against the dollar. Its current account deficit has risen to a four-year high of $17.4 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22.

Pakistan needs a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) but for that it has to follow strict conditions, including the subsidies given in petrol and diesel, to stop all the ‘ravadis’. Along with this, many friendly countries are also ready to give loans. But his eyes are fixed on the IMF.

But the party of Shahbaz Sharif, who is in power in Pakistan, is becoming increasingly weak. He only has the government of Sindh province. The rest of Khyber and Punjab are ruled by Imran Khan’s party PTI. On the other hand in Pakistan institutions like Supreme Court, Government are clashing with each other and working outside the realm. The second army is keeping silent at the moment, but this whole game has started from there.

Last year, when Imran Khan wanted to retain Faiz Hameed as the head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Army Chief Bajwa was against it. It is being told that he had asked the opposition parties to bring a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, after which Imran Khan’s government fell. Even after losing power, Imran Khan has not sat silent. On the other hand, the way economic pressure is increasing on Pakistan and political instability is increasing, it seems that the neighboring country is going towards a deep crisis.
