B Aishwarya, who created the triple jump national record by jumping a distance of 14.14 meters during the Inter Athletic Championship in June last year, has been banned for four years. Aishwarya was caught dope in this championship for banned performance enhancing drug Ostarine. He was then dropped from the Birmingham Commonwealth Games team.

Aishwarya argued before the NADA hearing panel that she had pain in her shoulder. During the said championship, his partner Jagdish gave him this medicine and said that it would cure the pain.

Nada said that Aishwarya should have taken a doctor’s advice. The panel rejected his plea and banned him for four years. She can appeal against this till March 16.
