Apart from three golds in Birmingham, Sharath won gold in men’s singles and men’s team events in 2006, gold in men’s doubles in 2010 and gold in men’s team event in 2018. Apart from this, he has won two bronze in 2010, one silver each in 2014 and 2018 and one silver in 2022. Sharath has won a total of 13 medals in the Commonwealth Games. Sharath is ranked third in terms of India’s most successful athletes in the Commonwealth Games. More than them, only Jaspal Rana (Shooting) and Samresh Jung (Shooting) have won medals. Jaspal has 15 medals (9 gold) in Commonwealth Games and Samresh has 14 medals (7 gold) in his name.
