With 61 medals, India finished fourth in the medal tally, but the closing ceremony of the competition saw a smattering of Punjabi songs. Indian-origin singer Steven Kapoor also known as Apache Indian. He tied the knot with Bhangra dance and songs. He also performed on the songs Boom Shake a Lack, Pass the Duchy and Red Red Wine. After this, model and activist Neelam Gill showed her mettle and Rajinder Singh played the song Mundayan To Bach Ke Rahi.

Boxer Nikhat Zareen and table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal were the flag bearers of India for India.
