Coca-Cola to release NFT series on gender diversity

Global beverage company Coca-Cola has announced the launch of a non-fungible token (NFT) series linked to gender diversity. This series of digital collectibles has been designed in collaboration with South African designer Mnisi. There will be a total of 136 pieces in this.

This project is getting support from the blockchain Polygon. Each NFT in this series will feature a Coca-Cola bottle with rainbow-like colors on it. These NFTs have been shown on social media. These can be bought with the Polygon (MATIC) cryptocurrency. Gadgets 360 price tracker As of now, each Polygon is priced at around $0.50. Funds from the sale of this series will be donated to OUT, an LGBTQ+ charity selected by Mnisi.

Coca-Cola celebrates its 136th year in business this year. The company said in a blog post, “Coca-Cola in its 136-year presence has connected people through moments of connection. We are excited to release this NFT series from Coca-Cola. This is a series of digital collectibles that will help the community Visibility will increase for K members and they will move forward.”

Using blockchain technology in NFTs, tokens of unique items are authenticated which are linked to reproducible digital assets. These can include art, music, in-game items, and videos. These can be traded online but cannot be duplicated. The popularity of NFTs is increasing. Sports clubs, automobile companies and pop stars are also getting into this business. There is growing interest in NFTs from the Web3 community as well as the metaverse industry. Meta, which runs social media sites Facebook and Instagram, is set to start testing the display of NFTs on Instagram Stories using its augmented reality platform AR. After initial testing of NFT display options on Instagram last month, Meta is now expanding the scope of testing. It also plans to bring the NFT display to Facebook soon.
