Ampere was at number 2, while Hero Electric was the third best selling electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the said month. Ola Electric has slipped to number four in this list. Okinawa Autotech tops the list despite the decline in MoM sales.
Sales stood at 6,976 units, down 21.51 per cent as compared to 8,888 units sold in May 2022. The new Okhi-90 high speed electric scooter from Okinawa Autotech is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh. To meet the demand, the company is planning a new mega factory at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan in addition to its existing facility to increase the production capacity.
Okinawa Autotech holds 18.03 percent stake in this list. At number two, Ampere Electric recorded sales of 6,534 units last month. This was a month-on-month increase of 18.18 per cent to 6,534 units from 5,529 units sold in June 2021.
Ampere Electric also recently announced the roll-out of its 50,000th electric scooter from the new Ranipet facility in Tamil Nadu. The facility started operations late in 2021, with the milestone unit being taken out of the plant only after 7 months.
Hero Electric sales increased by 136.80 percent month-on-month. The sales which were 2,739 units in May 2022 have increased to 6,486 units last month. Hero Electric has been fighting a long legal battle with Hero MotoCorp.

Ola Electric, once the largest selling electric two wheeler manufacturer in India, has come at number four in June 2022. Ola’s sales declined by 34.47 percent to 5,689 units in June 2022 as compared to 8,681 units sold in May 2022, compared to May 2022.
TVS Motor Company Electric two wheeler sales (wholesale) which includes the new TVS iQube stood at 4,667 units in June 2022, an increase of 76.98 per cent as compared to 2,637 units sold in May 2022. This was 2,030 units volume growth with a share of 12.06 per cent.
