1. Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
Price: Rs 4.40 lakh (on-road)
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is the most affordable and new car in the budget segment. The company has launched it in August 2022. The Delhi ex-showroom price of the new Alto K10 is Rs 3.99 lakh. You can take it home at an on-road price of Rs 4.40 lakh. The new Alto has been introduced with the 1.0-litre K10C engine. This engine provides maximum power of 66 bhp and torque of 89 newton meter.
The new Alto has now been made more stylish than before. It gets stylish fog lamp enclosure and a mesh grille in the front bumper. It has 13-inch steel wheels. Talking about the features, it has been given features like remote-key, SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, touchscreen infotainment system, USB port, digital instrument cluster, ABS, dual airbags and ESP.
2. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Price: Rs 4.75 lakh (on-road)
The new models of Maruti S-Presso were launched in July 2022. This car is very much liked by the people in the budget segment. The S-Presso gets its power from the 1.0-litre K10 series engine of the Alto. An automatic gearbox option is also available with the S-Presso along with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This is the first car in this segment to get an automatic gearbox.
Maruti S-Presso is also great in mileage. It gives a claimed mileage of 25.30 kmpl. The S-Presso gets a centrally-mounted instrument cluster along with the dashboard layout. Air purifiers and electrically adjustable ORVMs are also being given in its higher variants. All variants of the S-Presso now come with ESP and hill-hold. Although the Delhi ex-showroom price of the Maruti S-Presso is Rs 4.25 lakh but you can easily get it at an on-road price of Rs 4.75 lakh.
3. Renault Kwid
Price: Rs 5.30 lakh (on-road)
The Renault Kwid is also selling well in the budget hatchback segment. The RXL 0.8 variant of the Kwid is available in Delhi at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.65 lakh. However, you can easily get it at an on-road price of Rs 5.30 lakh.
A 799 cc petrol engine is available in this variant of Renault Kwid. In this variant, the Renault Kwid comes in two colors with a manual gearbox. If your budget is a bit high, then you can also buy its 999cc variant, which will give you better performance with more power.
4. New Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Price: Rs 5.81 lakh (on-road)
The new one is also a great hatchback to be found in the budget segment. The company claims that it is capable of giving a mileage of 26 kmpl. It is also made available in CNG model. If you buy the LXi variant of the Celerio, then you will get it at an on-road price of Rs 5.81 lakh in Delhi.
The Celerio is powered by a 1.0-litre K10C dual jet engine. The company has also made the new Celerio available with a factory fitted CNG variant. The CNG model is offered with a manual gearbox only, while the petrol models are offered with a manual as well as an AMT gearbox.
5. Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Price: Rs 5.95 lakh (on-road)
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a very stylish looking hatchback. It also gives the look of a small SUV. Although the top variant of Ignis goes up to Rs 8.77 lakh, you can buy the Sigma 1.2 MT variant at an on-road (Delhi) price of Rs 5.95 lakh. In this variant, this car will come in 1.2 liter petrol engine with manual gearbox.
In terms of features, you get touchscreen display, multi-function steering wheel, power adjustable rear-view mirror, touch screen, automatic climate control, engine start/stop button, anti lock braking system, fog lights – front, power windows rear. And features like front power windows will be available.
