Bangladesh Man In Lungi: A man wearing a lungi visited the cinema at Star Cineplex, part of the major multiplex chain in Bangladesh. There he was not given a ticket to see the cinema. Its video became viral on social media. The multiplex has issued its clarification after watching this viral video. In the viral video, it is claimed that an elderly man was denied ticket to his multiplex because he was wearing a lungi. This video that surfaced on Wednesday went viral in no time. The person seen in the video has been identified as Saman Ali Sarkar.

According to the Dhaka Tribune, he was featured in the video saying that he had gone to a Star Cineplex theater in Dhaka’s Sony Square branch to watch the movie “Poran”, but was denied a ticket. Cineplex then clarified on its official Facebook page that it does not discriminate against customers on the basis of anything.
Cineplex said – we do not discriminate
Star Cineplex wrote that “We would like to clarify that Star Cineplex does not discriminate against customers on the basis of anything, not least on the basis of an individual’s dress. No such policies exist in our organization Which deprives a person of the right to buy a ticket because they prefer to wear a loungi,” Star Cineplex said in a Facebook post. Anyone is welcome.
Cineplex further said, “The incident being broadcast through social media is the result of an unfortunate misunderstanding. We are shocked to see such an incident and are grateful to the parties concerned for bringing it to our notice.”
Cineplex called the person and showed the film
The cinema hall later invited Mr. Sarkar and his family to watch the film at the same multiplex and posted the pictures on its Facebook page. One of the stars of “Poran”, Sariful Raaz also accompanied Mr. Sarkar and his family to the theater and watched the film with them.
According to the Dhaka Tribune report, in the viral video, the man is heard saying that the theater staff refused to sell him tickets because he was wearing a lungi.
