Biography of Laxmi Agarwal
Laxmi Agarwal was born on 1 June 1990 in a normal family. His father and brother had already passed away due to illness. Laxmi Agarwal’s mother used to work from house to house to support the family expenses. Lakshmi was smart in studies since childhood. When she was 15 years old, a 32-year-old man living near her house fell in love with her. When the man named Naeem Khan expressed his love for Lakshmi, he refused. After which Naeem Khan angrily attacked Laxmi Agarwal with acid.
Laxmi Agarwal’s struggle
A girl who was bright in studies. Used to sing good songs and dream of becoming a singer, her life suddenly changed. Lakshmi’s face got burnt in the acid attack, but she did not give up. In the year 2006 i.e. within a year of the incident, by filing a PIL, the demand for banning acid was raised in the Supreme Court.
