Spain’s young tennis player and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz registered another victory in the Hopman Cup tennis tournament. He defeated world number 15 Borna Coric of Croatia 6-3, 6-7(6), 10-5. He saved two break points in the match played against Korich.

This is Alcaraz’s second consecutive victory. He defeated David Goffin of Belgium on Friday. Alcarez also played a doubles match with Rebecca Masarova, but lost 1–6, 6–4, 14–12 to Coric and Donna Vekich. World number one Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

Spain’s Alcaraz created history by winning Wimbledon. World number-one Alcaraz defeated world number-two Serbia’s Novak Djokovic 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in a five-set final. Alcaraz, 20, became the third player from Spain to win Wimbledon. Earlier, Santana won the Wimbledon title in 1966 and Rafael Nadal in 2008 and 2010. After 12 years a player from Spain won this Grand Slam.

It was Alcaraz’s second Grand Slam title. Earlier, he has won the US Open title in 2022. Not only this, after 2017, Wimbledon got a new champion. Djokovic won this title in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. At the same time, this tournament could not be held in 2020 due to Corona. In 2017, Roger Federer of Switzerland became the champion.
