The company has made very subtle modifications to the 2022 model of this adventure motorcycle. It gets a new front half fairing, which is sharper with a shorter beak.
The overall design of the motorcycle looks similar to its larger version, the Kawasaki Versys 1000. While the rest of the bodywork remains the same, the updated model gets a revised headlight, four-step adjustable flyscreen, a sharper looking engine cowl and fresh livery.
Talking about the engine, there will be no change in this motorcycle. The updated Kawasaki Versys 650 will be powered by its existing 649cc, liquid-cooled, twin cylinder engine that delivers 66 Bhp of peak power and 61 Nm of peak torque.
The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 now gets Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). It will be a two-stage traction control system. The two levels of TC modulation and the option to turn it off completely helps the riders control the bike while riding the bike on the roads.
Apart from this, the old instrument cluster has been removed in it. It has a new TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Usually the new features come with a premium command and have been given in approx. The riding modes that the company has given in it, which are less intrusive and more intrusive.
Riders can also switch off this system. The Kawasaki Versys 650 is the most comfortable motorcycle for road-based adventure travel. It competes with the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and Honda CB500X present in the market.
These motorcycles offer a similar road-focused riding. However, if you want a little more off-road capability from your adventure motorcycle, then the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT could be a better option for you.
The Kawasaki Versys 650 was the third best-selling performance bike in India in April after the Royal Enfield 650 Twins and the Ninja 300. It was the best selling bike that month among bikes priced above Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
